India salary calculator 2026 — in-hand pay
Estimate your annual and monthly in-hand salary under the default new tax regime, then see what remains after your real expenses, savings and investments.
Salary-only income-tax estimate. EPF, state professional tax, employer-specific deductions and special-rate investment income are not currently included.
What this India in-hand salary calculator includes
The India engine applies the default new-regime salary-tax rules used for the current planning model, including the ₹75,000 salary standard deduction, section 87A rebate and marginal relief, surcharge treatment and 4% health and education cess.
Because employer payroll structures vary, EPF and state-specific professional tax are not guessed. The calculator focuses on the income-tax estimate and then lets you enter your real monthly costs, savings and investments to see the money left after your plan.

What the current India model includes

Common India salary questions
Which tax regime is used?
The automatic calculation uses the default new regime for the salary-tax model described in the methodology.
Is EPF included in the in-hand amount?
No. EPF is employer- and payroll-structure dependent and is not currently included in the automatic result.
Is professional tax included?
No. Professional tax varies by state and is not modelled automatically.
Why can my payslip in-hand salary be lower?
EPF, professional tax, insurance, employer benefits, salary structure and other payroll deductions can reduce actual in-hand pay beyond the income-tax estimate shown here.
What is the difference between in-hand salary and money remaining?
Estimated in-hand salary is income after the tax deductions this model includes. Money remaining goes one step further and subtracts the expenses, savings and investments you enter.
